Learning About Music Theory

Hello, my name is Hilda Pendleton. Welcome to my website about music theory. When I was a young girl, my parents required that I play a new instrument in music class each year. Over the years, I decided that I favored the brass instruments the best. I continued playing instruments on my own time using music theory to perfect my performances. On this site, I hope to share my knowledge of music theory with you all. I invite you to visit my site on a regular basis to learn all you can about music theory. Thank you for coming by.

How Wedding Bands Help Celebrate Couples with a Deep Love of Music

The importance of music in a typical wedding ceremony cannot be overstated. And a couple that is hugely into music may find this entertainment even more important. These individuals should probably invest in a band over a DJ. Read on to learn a few reasons why.

Music Is Critical at a Wedding

Music is an essential part of any wedding ceremony because it helps to bring a touch of heart and lightness into the proceedings. For example, the bride needs to walk down the aisle to the proper music and their first kiss is traditionally celebrated with musical fanfare. Therefore, the reception needs plenty of tunes to engage those who have come to the ceremony and ensure they have a good time.

However, there is a unique debate that often occurs between those at a wedding: whether to get a DJ or a band for the ceremony and reception. Both have their advantages. A DJ is often simpler and less expensive and can provide access to many different songs. However, bands are a great choice for a music-loving couple who want a diverse playlist and an active and engaging musical entertainment.

Why a Band Is a Good Choice

Bands are a great choice for music-loving couples because they can provide a live touch to the music that a DJ often doesn't supply. People can see the band perform, watch them play their instruments, and even encourage them with cheering. And these experts can create a playlist that fits the needs of the couple, creating a more quirky and fun list for those who have more esoteric tastes.

Even better, bands can take requests like a DJ but add a personal touch to the song. For example, they can take popular "first dance" songs and add the name of the wife or husband to the song. Or, they can play songs that a DJ may not have access to on their playlists and tweak up the arrangement to make it more aggressive or laid back, depending on the needs of the party and the crowd.

And a live band is also a good choice because they can jam on songs and add a little life to them in unexpected ways. For example, if the guests are enjoying a dance song and don't want it to stop, the band can keep playing the groove. This possibility is much more limited with a DJ and makes a band worth the investment by itself.

If you and your fiance are music lovers, consider hiring a wedding band.
